In the Sun
In the Sun
Deep within me I sense,
I sense the presence of a living being
I sense his presence behind me, there he is
He is always following me and will always follow me
He is black and attached to me
Disappears in the night, comes back the next day
I see him behind me
Lying down on the ground,
I stop, he stops
We’re staring at each other
And I realize that this strange thing is my umbra
My umbra lives only in the sun
